Save the date

The International Federation for Psychotherapy (IFP) has invited the Dutch Psychotherapy Association (NVP) to organize the 22nd World Congress of Psychotherapy. It will be held on 7, 8 & 9 June 2018 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

At a time of considerable divisions in psychotherapy, we would like to stress the importance of toleration and respect for opposing views while we also continue to seek common ground. Therefore, we have chosen as the theme:

The NVP, founded in 1930, is proud to welcome psychotherapists from all over the world to our country. For the congress the NVP has invited scholars and experts from a variety of theoretical perspectives to serve on the Scientific Committee and develop a program that will be interesting from a scientific as well as a clinical perspective. The program will give scholars and experts the opportunity to share ideas and experiences relating to theory, development and research in psychotherapy.
